COLLECTING & FINDING NEW HOMES FOR THE TOYS & COMICS FROM YOUR CHILDHOOD

TOYS IN THE ATTIC?

Dave wants them.

AtticToys.jpg

Do you have boxes of old toys from the '60's, '70's or '80's just sitting around collecting dust? Or maybe just a handful of Star Wars figures that no longer "spark joy"? Or boxes of old comic books you keep meaning to sell? I'd love to connect with you to make an offer on finding those toys & comics a new home. Looking especially for vintage Star Wars, Mego, He-Man, tin toys, fuzzy-headed G.I. Joes, 1960's & 70's comic books and more. They could be very well played with or carefully collected and preserved in their boxes. Make no mistake - I react to finding toys from my childhood with such joy that you'd think it was Christmas 1979 all over again.

I'm looking primarily for local pick up in Richmond, VA, but I'd definitely consider items being shipped if it's something I'm very enthusiastic about (or if you just want them out of your house!)

SELLING TOYS

COMING TO A SHOW NEAR YOU!

Well, pretty much if YOU happen to be in the Central Virginia Area.

Look for us in a booth at various Comicons and toy shows around the Greater Richmond area. Stop by, say hey, reminisce about getting that Millennium Falcon for Christmas... I usually bring a bunch of bins of action figures and vehicles and various geeky things that I've been impulse buying for the last 30 years or have found in local auctions. From Marvel to Star Wars to Funko Pops, and a selection of the vintage tin toys and other unique items. See you there!

WHY DAVE?

WHY DAVE?

It all started on a Spring afternoon in Northside Richmond, VA...

Back in 1985, I was finishing up my years at Richmond Community High School and eagerly awaiting the journey to film school at Rochester Institute of Technology. Our family had a yard sale, and I decided it was finally time to sell my toys. All of my huge collection of Star Wars toys, primarily. You know, the ones that I had played with well beyond normal kid age, and had even kept the boxes for. To this day, I wish I could go back in time and talk some sense into my high school self. I plead temporary insanity.

So I'm looking for people who still have remnants of their own collection tucked away in their attics. There is a certain joy in reconnecting with your childhood, and that's what my hobby is now all about.
